1. देवानंपियेन पियदसिन लाजिन चोदवसाभिसिटेन
2. बुधस कोनाकमनस थुबे दुतियं बढिते
3. (वीसतिव) साभिसितेन च अतन आगाच महीयिते
4. (सिलाथमे च उस) पापिते |

1. Piyadassi, the Beloved of the God, fourteen years after his coronation
2. had second time increased (double the size) the stupa of Konagamana.
3. Twenty years after his consecration he has personally come to this land.
4. Here he raised a stone pillar.

His Sacred and Gracious Majesty the King, when he has been consecrated fourteen years, enlarged for the second time the stupa of Buddha Konakamana: and when he had been consecrated [twenty years] having come in person, did reverence, and erected [a stone pillar].

King Priyadarsin, Beloved of the gods, when he had been consecrated fourteen years, enlarged for the second time the stupa of Buddha Konakamana. And when he had been consecrated (twenty) years, he came in person, did worship, and had (a stone pillar) erected.

By His Sacred and Gracious Majesty the King consecrated fourteen years was doubly enlarged the stupa of Buddha Konakamana and (by him) consecrated (twenty years), coming in person, and reverence being made. Was set up (a stone pillar).

Fourteen years after his coronation, King Priyadarsi, Beloved of the Gods, enlarged the Stupa enshrining the relics of the Buddha Kanakamuni to double its size. And twenty years after his coronation, he visited the spot in person, offered worship at the place, and caused this stone pillar to be erected.
